. . . in my auction adventures with the World of Warcraft. I have no idea how far this little journal will take me, but let's have some fun. So where am I? Who am I? I have recently started delving further into the AH on my server. Windrunner's raiding scene is fairly quiet and laid back. The halcyon hardcore days of Wrath of the Liche King are far behind now, and the server population has dwindled from High to merely Medium. Still, even in the doldrums at the end of an expansion, there is gold to be made. Right now, I'm focused on Enchanting and Jewelcrafting while getting Inscription ready for the next Glyphmas.
If that was complete gibberish to you, have no fear. Professions in WoW are the best source of reliable, daily income for your characters. Do not feel intimidated if you are starting out on conquering the Auction House. You can make money on the AH, even without a max level character, or max level professions. It certainly helps to maximize earnings, but it is by no means a requirement.
This little journal should teach you some interesting things about WoW and the financial empires that make up the Auction House. Since I am actively involved in running auctions day to day, I can offer some insights and tips on what to do with your offerings. I hope to also reach out to other auctioneers so we can share some of what we do to make gold (without giving away the store).
I will also show you some of basic tools of the trade. Addons can be your friend. I should also stress that addons are not required; they are pure convenience. Some may complain that the in-game user interface should be completely revamped (it is certainly showing its age) but the main focus getting at the underlying data. I will show you many tools to help you with this. Tailor them to your needs and budget.
I hope this little journal is of some help, and remember: time is money, but money cannot buy your life more time.
